Why I don't like LOMOgraphy
Ironic I found a very nice description of lomography from an article against it. (If you read the article he is not really against the lomography as an art form but how the makers made it too much of hype and a very profitable business.)
I first found about lomography when I saw ads of Super Sampler in my art magazines. I really want to buy one but unfortunately at that time it was not available here in the Philippines. Most of the time me and my sister just look at different lomo cameras in urbanoutfitter's site.
A friend of mine recently is addicted to it. She showed me her pictures.

I fell in love with the results of her Holga camera. I really wanted one. I still couldn't buy Lomo camera's here in Davao. She offered that she could buy it for me. She showed me different types of lomo camera. Still I picked the super sampler. I was suppose to get the camera Dec. 22 when Tisha will got home to Davao for a Christmas vacation fortunately a another good friend of mine when to Manila. I asked him if he could buy it for me. He did not only buy it for me but gave me the super sampler as my birthday gift (yey!) .

The Lomo scene here in Davao is still very new. I think there is still only a few who has lomo cameras or practice lomography. When I had my pictures developed the people from the Fuji shop thought that their machine broke! I had to explain to them that is how it actually looks.
If there are Dabawenyo's out there who loves lomography join LOMOdavao! We definitely are looking for members.
